Meme time…

Well, I’m bored at the moment, and I haven’t posted a new post in a long time (not much is happening that’s worth telling), so I thought to look at the internet for any nice memes. I’ve found a meme I liked.

Create a list of your top 10 all-time favourite television couples.
I must say I had a hard time getting 10 all time favourite television couples. The first four were written down quickly, whilst I’ve been pondering for the others. I haven’t had that many TV-shows I’ve been extremely loyal to.

10. Fox Mulder & Dana Scully (The X-files – played by David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson)

Ever since I’ve started watching The X-files I’ve been a major Mulder & Scully fan. So I simply had to put them in my top ten of TV Couples. Albeit on a 10th place, since it’s actually been quite a while since I’ve last seen the show.

9. Arthur Pendragon & Gwen (Merlin – played by Bradley James & Angel Coulby)

I admit, I admit, I liked the idea of Arthur and Morgana more when I first started watching BBC’s new hit show Merlin. However, after watching this episode where the picture is from, this couple as started to grow on me, so a 9th place for them.

8. Guy of Gisborne & Lady Marian (Robin Hood – played by Richard Armitage & Lucy Griffiths)

Since I’ve started watching BBC’s show Robin Hood, I’ve been a major fan of Sir Guy of Gisborne. However, I shipped Robin and Marian, mainly because it’s something you’re supposed to like. After joining the Robin Hood forum, where there’s a Guy of Gisborne fanboard, I got turned over to the “Dark Side” by fellow board members and they also showed me all the good things about Guy and Marian. And I think the above picture says enough…

7. Romualdo & Fantagiro (The Cave of the Golden Rose – played by Kim Rossi Stuart & Allessandra Martines)

Wow, it’s been ages ago since I saw The Cave of the Golden Rose. I think I was about 13 or 14 years old. Not working yet, because I remember this show being broadcasted on Saturdays. This couple was instantly a must for me.

6. Dick Vledder & Vera Prins (Baantjer – played by Victor Reinier & Marian Mudder)

I’ve started watching this show, because Marian Mudder had played in another TV-Show I enormously liked. From a prisoner who had “killed” old ladies, to a police detective. It was awsome to see. Baantjer is a Dutch detective, based on books about de Cock (with cee-oo-cee-kee), an old police detective in the center of Amsterdam. The writer of those books is Appie Baantjer. From the moment I’ve seen this show, this was the couple, however, it never was meant to be…

5. Paul Jaspers & Akkie Dorrestijn (Vrouwen Vleugel – played by Joep Sertons & Marloes v/d Heuvel)

(picture)

Well, Vrouwen Vleugel, is also a Dutch TV-Show about a women’s prison. It’s the show were Marian Mudder (Vera Prins) also played in, and I mentioned in TV couple no 6. Unfortunately no photo yet (I still have to make one, but I’m a tad lazy to search for a nice one). These two are the doctor and boss of the prison and I simply adored this couple as a teenager.

4. David Grief & Isabelle Reed (Tales of the South Seas – played by Will Snow & Rachel Blakely)

Well, what’s not to like about this couple? Other than the fact that they didn’t turn out to be one in the end, but instead became very good friends (at least I’d like to think so). Tales of the South Seas, I felt so fortunate when one of our TV Stations started to broadcast it, because not many people have seen this show (they probably do have now, I think LOL). It’s too bad I’m lost in the maze of videos, because I planned to format them in order on video. Which of course never happened. However, I might have managed to get myself copies from somewhere, let’s just hope they will arrive soon. I think the picture says enough, simply look at the on screen chemistry there is, simply in this picture…

3. Seeley Booth & Temperance Brennan (Bones – played by David Boreanaz & Emily Deschanel)

I started watching Bones, because of David Boreanaz was playing in it. I turned into a Booth/Bones shipper along the way. This picture is one of my favourites, and it makes me think I really should catch up on all the Bones episodes I still have to watch after Season 4.

2. Gil Grissom & Sara Sidle (Crime Scene Investigation – played by William Petersen & Jorja Fox)

One of the best pairings there is. From the moment I laid my eyes on CSI, I’ve been shipping Grissom and Sara. After six seasons I thought they’d never get together but the ending of season 6 gave such a welcome surprise: the ship was canon. I must admit that after learning both Sara and Grissom would leave, I stopped watching the show. I might try and pick up on it again.

1. Lord John Roxton & Marguerite Krux
(The Lost World – played by Will Snow & Rachel Blakely)

My favourite pairing for the pas ten years now. Albeit with a break, but they’ve never been out of my thoughts. And they happen to be the same actors who played David Grief & Isabelle Reed in TOTSS. Though the latter came before TLW, I saw TLW before TOTSS. I still remember after ten years, which episode got me hooked, and needless to say, it was quite a Roxton/Marguerite orientated episode. Lately I’ve been rewatching episodes I haven’t seen in quite some time, and with that I mean the less Roxton/Marguerite orientated episodes. It’s nice to see the show again, and I’ve to thank J&G for that.
