I don’t look forward to moving April 24, 2008

Especially now that I’ve had to pack a whole school twice this year. The kids have helped me enormously today, that was great. However, this whole week has been of me working till around 6pm. Everything hurts, I’m extremely tired and I need my holidays. I’m so happy to have a week off and that we have to unpack after Queensday and May 5th.

On another note, yesterday I went back to an appartment I’ve already visited, this time to look at what rebuilding would cost me. Today I got the price and I’ve made an extremely low bid. I can always go higher, right? Now I have to wait from a call from my real estate agent. Though I don’t think they will accept, keep your fingers crossed.

In just two days, tomorrow will be yesterday… April 13, 2008

And that will mean it will be Tuesday when that happens. And when I say the same sentence on Tuesday it will be Thursday to actually happen, which means the weekend is near again. Don’t get me wrong, I love my work, but it will be a busy two weeks until the May-holiday. The children will be having a free day that last Friday, so we, teachers, can pack the last of the school’s belongings. Than we’ve got a week off (the children some days extra) and than around May 5th all things will be moved to the old-new building. Old because we’ve already been there, new because we’ll be getting a new part of that building and it’s been redecorated. Tomorrow, after school time, we’ll be taking a look how it’s now and where we’ll be placed with our classes etc. I’m actually quite curious, not really sure if I’m going to like it or not, I’ll let you know ;) .

Yesterday I went house hunting again. When I showed photos of it to my mum, she wasn’t that enthusiastic at all. When we got there, she liked it. There wasn’t much to do/change about it. However, I found the living room/kitchen area very small. My bed room would be in the cellar and it smelled like a cellar. There was no way you could open a window there, since there where none. It was large, however, and I could store lots of things there, but I didn’t contact my real estate agent (he couldn’t come with me) for a bid. The house, it’s just not me, I guess.
Tuesday I would also be on a house hunt, if it weren’t the appartment I would go and take a look at, had already been sold. I read that yesterday morning, and to be honest, I was a bit pissed about it. Oh well, there’s always the Funda site, and I saw there an appartement to which I would need to do a lot of changing to, but it’s been for sale for a while now. Taking a look, could never hurt, right? ;) . I’ll keep you updated on it :) .

A new week awaits April 6, 2008

Which means the weekend has gone rather quickly in my opinion.  Especially when you consider I left home at 1pm yesterday afternoon to go to a dance workshop and afterwards there was a dance evening, so when I finally got home again it was around 1.30am and I quickly went to bed. And now it’s Sunday, almost dinnertime and I’ve the feeling my whole day was sort of wasted. I did do some things for work, but still.
Talking about work, Wednesday it’s teacher’s day at the school I work at. Which means all teachers are celebrating their birthday for the children. That should be a fun day. I’ve got a lot in store to do that morning.
Friday I got an email from my real estate agent, there was another appartment for sale. Let him make an appointment for a visit, which would be next Monday. That’s also the day that everyone at work would be going to take a look at the new school building. So I mailed him back, asking if Tuesday would be an option, when I learned that visiting the appartment already started at Thursday. Though not after 4pm anymore. Strange, but true apparently. Made a phone call this time to let them know I might manage 3.30pm as well. We’ll see tomorrow what will come out of it. I’ll keep you posted.

P.S. I do notice people are stopping by at my blog, but comments (other than SPAM) would be nice ;) .

And it’s Tuesday already April 1, 2008

Let me first start with my weekend trip… I had a blast. With my dance group we went away last weekend. I had lots and lots to do, since I was one of the organizers, but all went pretty well. Up untill my cold got through.
We’ve learned quite a few new dances, though some of them are old school for me. That’s what you get when you dance 23 years more your age and go to every dance class thingy around the country. I think there was only one dance I hadn’t learned yet. It was a dance from Siberia (northern Russia) and we had so much fun with that one. Oh, there was another dance I didn’t know; and english dance called T.A.G. and I have no idea what that means. My dance teacher couldn’t tell me either, because it was the dance the intern learned us, and she went home early because she got ill.

The kiddo’s were nice to me these two days. I told them I wasn’t feeling well and they were simply little angels. I do hope they’ll be little angels when we’ll be at the soccer matches tomorrow. They have soccer games going on. Let’s just hope that neither the boy nor the girls will win all matches and they’ll be in the (semi-) finale. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great there’s an activity like this for the children, however, I think one afternoon (I’ll be there from 12.45pm till 4.00pm) is in my opinion enough. Especially since I’ve got this cold still going on.
