For the past two weeks I could easily abandon that thing which internet people call Real Life (RL for short) :daydream: . Today, however, RL, started again and this morning I went back to work. Still coming back slowly to work fulltime, I only work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Just before the two week break, Tuesday mornings came with it. Though I loved I could abandon RL, in time it wasn’t actually bad to be back at work and I rather enjoyed myself :) .
The thing I do is give gymnastics to my class, and after that, I’ll be firstly helping children from my own class, and later children from another class. At least, that’s what I’ve talked through with a collegue. Tomorrow, I will be back to teaching 21 children again :duck: .

On a brighter note, after a two week absense, dancing class will start tomorrow again as well  . I’ve really, really missed that. I can’t understand I’ve survived two weeks without dancing  . Well, technically I’ve survived those two weeks, but then again, I have been being a pain to my neighbours, since I did the dancing in my appartment  . I just can’t wait what my dance teacher has planned for tomorrow evening…
I’ve also been thinking of going to archery class :archer: . I’ve been thinking about this for years really, and I finally discovered there’s a archery club near my place. Found their website, and you can take 8 lessons to see if you like it, before you become a member. Used the contact form to let them know I was interested and two weeks later I still hadn’t heard from them. So, I decided to contact them again. This time four weeks went by and I still received no word :raisedeye: . This time I tried to look for a telephone number, but no luck, so once again I contacted them by the email form. So far no word yet … :sigh:

I did get word about my medieval clothing. Wednesday I got note that the money had arrived, and the clothes would be posted that day. I expected them to arrive at my place around Friday, but to my surprise they came the next day already :) . Hopefully I can take pictures of them this weekend and post them. Now I want this medieval looking travelbag with it, but I will have to make one my one, because the ones I’ve found are of leather, and I’d rather have a fabric one (cream-coloured). And of course I want it to be totally me, so I’ve been in search of cross stitch patterns of celtic/medieval like, but so far I haven’t found anything to my liking. I still have got about eleven months left, because that’s when I will need it for the Elf Fantasy Fair :D . Any ideas are welcomed ;) .

I’m not dead… March 1, 2009

I’ve just got a lot of things on my mind lately. Work has not been going all that well and I’m taking a step back: working two and a half days now instead of five. I do plan on working fulltime again. That’s been one reason I’ve hardly updated this blog. Others are:

  1. I’ve discovered the BBC version of Robin Hood after buying season 1 for €6,- . Now I’ve just gotten season 2 and I’m going to watch that in the evenings now.
  2. I’ve been planning the yearly dance weekend for our dance group. In the city I live in, it’s the only folklore dance group which has two children groups and two teenager groups. The teenagers will be going as well, unfortunately not one child from group 2 will be going.
  3. Two weeks ago I’ve been to Barcelona. Photo’s will be updated soon. I do have some op at my DeviantArt.
  4. I’ve been moving another bunch of my stuff from my mum’s to my own appartment. It’s rather funny, because I’ve got tons and tons of things, but apparently I’m not in need of them that desperate.
  5. I’ve been spending too much time on the Merlin2008 and Robin Hood message boards.
  6. I’ve been working on my TCG for Merlin.

So, now you know why I haven’t been around much. And in another three hours I’ll be gone from home as well. My mum called asking if I would go with her and sis to the movies. I said it depended on the movie, and they were to see “Oorlogswinter”, one of the most famous books about the WW II for teenagers, here in The Netherlands. I’ve read it many, many years ago, and I’m curious how the movie turned out.

I hope to be able to update more and more, but I’m not quite sure if I can manage that. Just stay tuned.

I’ve been lacking… August 24, 2008

I know, I know, I’ve been lacking on giving updates on how the appartment is going. Not all pictures are uploaded to Photobucket yet, but most have. I simply don’t have the time to put them here in my blog. I want to move to my appartment before my summerbreak ends, and that means I only have one week to go. Four days to be precize. My goal is to move upcoming Tuesday, and hopefulle the floor will be finished then.

Next weekend, will be my only real break, just before I have to start work again. I’ll be going to the DoeDans Festival in Biddinghuizen (The Netherlands). It’s a folklore dance festival, where lots and lots of people come to, to learn new folklore dances. I’ll be going with friends from dancing class. Hopefully all of us can go, since one of them has landed back into hospital with an infection after she has been operated.
The Festival is special, because most of the time a new cd with new folklore dances will be released (Mix 9 this time). And no, it’s not only for people over 50 :P . More and more teenagers and people in their twenties will be choosing this side of dancing. I didn’t really choose it to do, since my mum made me do it when I was almost four years old. But I did choose to keep doing it during highschool and college.

And then, September 1st, work starts again. A new class, new parents to deal with, my third year on this school. It’s somewhat scary, but it’s also great to start with a class full of new children. Of course I already know the children by name (most of them anyway ;) ), but it will be totally different. Don’t get me wrong, eventhough I did had hard times in the two years I had my children, I had also a lot of great times with them, but starting fresh is always a good thing.

At the moment I’m writing this, I’m at my mum’s computer, which still holds a lot of my old things from at least four years ago. I’ve rediscovered things of which I think would be fun to make/do again. One of them is the online trading card game scene. However, now looking for sites, didn’t give me any. At the time I’ve started to make my own trading card game of one of the acresses I was (and still am) a big fan off: Rachel Blakely. The most known shows she appeared in are: Neighbours and The Lost World. I’ve been a big The Lost World fan five to seven years ago, and now I kind of rediscovered it, watching episodes I really liked and posting on the forum again. Back to the TCG, I’m thinking of finishing it and maybe I do something with it on my website. I’m not sure. Perhaps if there’re people on the board who like the idea and are willing to participate, I will.

Well, I better end this rambling. A new day tomorrow, to try and finish the floor in my appartment. Rise and shine early for me.

A new week awaits April 6, 2008

Which means the weekend has gone rather quickly in my opinion.  Especially when you consider I left home at 1pm yesterday afternoon to go to a dance workshop and afterwards there was a dance evening, so when I finally got home again it was around 1.30am and I quickly went to bed. And now it’s Sunday, almost dinnertime and I’ve the feeling my whole day was sort of wasted. I did do some things for work, but still.
Talking about work, Wednesday it’s teacher’s day at the school I work at. Which means all teachers are celebrating their birthday for the children. That should be a fun day. I’ve got a lot in store to do that morning.
Friday I got an email from my real estate agent, there was another appartment for sale. Let him make an appointment for a visit, which would be next Monday. That’s also the day that everyone at work would be going to take a look at the new school building. So I mailed him back, asking if Tuesday would be an option, when I learned that visiting the appartment already started at Thursday. Though not after 4pm anymore. Strange, but true apparently. Made a phone call this time to let them know I might manage 3.30pm as well. We’ll see tomorrow what will come out of it. I’ll keep you posted.

P.S. I do notice people are stopping by at my blog, but comments (other than SPAM) would be nice ;) .
